Day 01    Depart from the West Coast to Shanghai

Day 02    Arrive in Shanghai. Transfer to the

                Galaxy Hotel.

Day 03    Shanghai - Full day tour of Yuyuang Garden,

               Jade-Buddha Temple, the ‘Bund’ and Nanjing Road.

Day 04   Morning flight to Xian. Tour the Ancient Wall

               and the Big Wild Goose Pagoda.  Stay overnight

Day 05    Xian - full day tour of the Terracotta Army, 

               Huaqing Hot Spring, Grand Mosque, etc.  (B/L/D)

              Terracotta Warriors and Horses - Xian

Day 06   Take a flight to Dunhuang. Go for a tour of the

               Singing Sand Mountains and the Crescent Moon

               Lake.(Dunhuang Hotel).  (B/L/D)

Day 07    Dunhuang - Tour of Mogao Grottoes  (Thousand

Day 08    Take a flight to Urumqi. Go for a tour of the

               Museum and learn about the history of Silk 

               Road (Yindu Hotel). (B/L/D)

Day 09    Travel by coach to Turpan. Visit the ruins

               of Jiaohe Ancient City and the Karez Well -

               the lowest place in China known as the

               ‘Land of fruit’ (Turpan Oasis Hotel).(B/L/D)

Day 10    In the morning, travel by coach back to

               Urumqi to catch the connecting flight to 

               Kashgar.  (Kashi Hotel). (B/L/D)

Day 11    Kashgar - visit the Sunday Bazaar, Abakh

               Hoja Tomb and the Id Kah Mosque. 

               Evening return flight to Urumqi

Day 12   Take a flight to Beijing. If time permits,
